Famend roboticist Rodney Brooks has a wake-up name for buyers pouring billions into humanoid robotic startups: you’re losing your cash.
Brooks, who co-founded iRobot and spent a long time at MIT, is especially skeptical of corporations like Tesla and Determine attempting to show robots dexterity by exhibiting them movies of people doing duties. In a brand new essay, he calls this method “pure fantasy pondering.”
